27 people killed, several injured in horrific accident on Mombasa-Nairobi highway

At least 27 people have been confirmed dead following a head on collision between a bus and a truck at Kambu along Mombasa-Nairobi highway, Kenya. The grisly accident happened in the early hours of yesterday around 2AM

According to the area OCPD Leonard Kimaiyo, the accident involved a bus that was bound to Malindi belonging to Buscar Company, and a oil tanker that was headed to Nairobi from Mombasa.

The wounded have been taken to Makindu sub county hospital and bodies ferried to the hospital mortuary.
