Do you have a
partner? Or are you in your very first relationship and don't know how you
should behave? Having a partner is one thing and being able to have a strong
bond is another. This article will get you started. TRY THIS FOLLOWING STEPS..
1
Get to know the person you are dating or like. You may
chat with them often or as much as you could but that doesn't mean you know
them. Allow them to speak and be a good listener. Don't rush them. Share the
topics that you would like them to share with you without making it
complicated. Smile often and make them feel comfortable so it won't be awkward.
This will help them open up and you could get to know them better. You may ask
about
·
Ask questions, get to know their interests and hobbies and share
your interests and hobbies too!
·
Ask about their favorite color, book, band, animal, movie,
dreams and expectations etc.
2
Get closer. After sharing as much or
enough things with each other look for getting closer emotionally. The closer
you are to them emotionally, the stronger the foundation of a relationship to
begin with. You could go ahead and involve with them more by
·
Asking them if they'd like to hang out with you. It doesn't even
have to be alone; you can go out with their and/or your friends. But make sure
you two have some bonding time.
·
Go for movies, dinner, at your place or his, etc.
·
Don't expect them to want to hang out every day.
·
Don't be upset your partner broke a date. Everyone gets busy,
and their parents may not have let them out or may already have plans - accept
this, but don't let them mess you around; if their reliability is a problem you
should confront them about it.
3
Be Playful. Go outside and play a sport
together.
·
For example: They can teach you soccer and you can teach them
basketball.
·
Jump on the trampoline, go for a swim in the pool or try your
best at cartwheels and handstands on the lawn. This is bound to make the two of
you laugh and become more comfortable around each other.
·
Play puzzles or any game you both like.
4
Be open to new things. Try things they like and
show interest in their interests. Go to that new ice rink, watch that new
horror movie or go to one of their sporting games and cheer them on!
5
Never get too attached. If you tend to cancel dates
a lot or if you have to stay on your own at times, do something fun. You may
also
·
Go out with your friends.
·
Do something you like to do like watch a movie, go shopping,
watch television, or anything that will keep you from crying or sulking.
·
Do not give them a feeling that you feel totally lost when they
are not there to support you.
6
Learn to say NO. If they expects you to
prove your love by doing something you are not willing to do, don't do it,
explain them why you can't and wait for them to forget it.
7
Respect them. They may trust you with
their past and share with you. DO not make them regret by reacting too shocked
or too disgusted. You may change the topic but never snap at them.
8
Be calm. At times there will be
nothing to do or share. Think of the times when they weren't there and such
calm moments were. Take lazy days hands on and do not express boredom or hold
them responsible for not entertaining or cheering you up. Do your own thing and
allow them to do his.
9
Be supportive. Life may not be the same
always. Some times you may require to be helpful and supportive of them if they
are low. Be there for them and sit next to them if you don't know what to do.
Do not leave to be somewhere else if you could stay with them.
10
Expect them to
accept you. If you are being nice but they are being judgmental,
clarify that you are not okay with it. Allow them to express their worries
about you. If it is something unfair that they are talking about, give them
time. If they act unreasonable, judgmental, manipulative, abusive, cruel or
disinterested, leave them.
